Original Source Information: This isolate was originally collected in March of 2005 as a respiratory swab specimen from a 20 year old male in Missouri.
Method of Identification Confirmation: The sample was typed by sequencing PCR products of a partial region of the hexon gene (protocol from CDC) and compared to the CEID adenovirus prototypic sequence library and NCBI. Genome typing was done by restriction enzyme analysis.
