Original Source Information:  This isolate was collected in February 2005 from the nasal swab of a 50 year old male with influenza-like-illness from Iowa.

Method of Identification Confirmation: The sample was typed by sequencing PCR products from the hemagglutinin (HA), matrix protein (M) ,neuraminidase (NA), nucleoprotein (NP), non-structural protein (NS), PA, PB1 and PB2 regions of the influenza genes.
