Human adenovirus

Human adenovirus is a double stranded, nonenveloped, DNA virus of the family Adenoviridae. There are at least 51 antigenically unique serotypes or species categorized into six subgenera. Recent data suggest that new genotypes have entered US populations since 1996 and caused at least 26 deaths.
