Krisitna Venzke is a program Associate in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health’s Center for International Rural and Environmental Health (CIREH). She is involved in all three of the center's training programs with Central and Eastern European public health and research institutions in Slovakia, Romania, Poland, Serbia and Croatia, as well as The Gambia College in Brikama, The Gambia. Two of these programs bring researchers from Europe and Africa to the University of Iowa for training, while the third sends minority students from the University of Iowa to our collaborating overseas institutions for summer research internships. Kristina served as a Peace Corps Volunteer for health and education projects in Chad, Africa, from 1993-1995 and has a BA in Communications/French (UI), and an MA in Intercultural Administration from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont.
