The University of Iowa College of Public Health
Meredith is currently a graduate student in the Masters of Public Health program at Iowa, with a focus in Epidemiology and a graduate assistant with the Center for International Rural and Environmental Health. She earned her B.A. in Anthropology/Russian from Grinnell College in 1999 and her M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (International Studies) from Iowa in 2006. She plans to attend Johns Hopkins University’s Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program beginning in July, 2008, and plans to pursue a medical degree in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She also helped co-found a 501 (c)(3) organization with colleagues from the University of Iowa, Health BRIDGE, which is dedicated to the development/facilitation of grass-roots, local health initiatives in underserved communities. Her favorite hobbies include traveling, learning languages, playing basketball and volleyball, running, and spending time with her friends and colleagues. |
