I graduated from the University of Iowa with an MS in OEH (Industrial Hygiene) in December 2003. I have been employed by Genencor International in Cedar Rapids, IA since September of 2003 as the Environmental Health & Safety Representative for the Cedar Rapids plant. Genencor is an international biotechnology company which manufactures industrial enzymes. I am responsible for EH&S issues at the site level including safety training, air monitoring, emergency response, injury/illness reporting, risk analysis, hazardous waste, safety committee activities, ergonomics, storm water monitoring, and environmental regulatory reporting. I love what I do, and I am very thankful to the University of Iowa for equipping me to be where I am!
