Health
Works to improve the health status of farmworker families
by providing information services and products to a network of more
than 500 migrant health center service sites in the United States as
well as other organizations and individuals serving the farmworker population.

their families, and their employees. NECAS offers safety education and
proactive programs to help prevent incidents that affect your agribusiness
safety and welfare.
National Farmers Union
A general farm organization with a membership of nearly
250,000 farm and ranch families throughout the United States. National
Farmers Union is a federation, that represents farmers and ranchers
in all states. National Farmers Union's primary goal is to sustain and
strengthen family farm and ranch agriculture.
National Rural
Health Alliance, Inc.
Working to improve the health of people throughout rural
and remote Australia. The aims of the Alliance are to strengthen collaboration
between and among rural and remote communities, service providers, policy
makers, researchers, non-government agencies, Member Bodies and other
stakeholders.
NIOSH
Agricultural Centers
Established as part of a Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention (CDC) / NIOSH Agricultural Health and Safety Initiative
in 1990. The nine Centers were established by cooperative agreement
to conduct research, education, and prevention projects to address the
nation’s pressing agricultural health and safety problems. Geographically,
the Centers are distributed throughout the nation (including the Great
Plains Center for Agricultural Health in Iowa )to be responsive
to the agricultural health and safety issues unique to the different
regions.
Norwegian
Farmers´ Association For Occupational Health And Safety
Establishes a national occupational health service through
cooperation with local occupational health services. The organisation
is available for farmers and all others working in agriculture. NFAOHS
helps to create a safe and pleasant work-place minimising the risk from
health hazards, and ensuring a safe environment for children.
Pesticide
Action Network
Network of over 600 participating nongovernmental organizations,
institutions and individuals in over 90 countries working to replace
the use of hazardous pesticides with ecologically sound alternatives.
Practical Farmers of Iowa
A non-profit, educational organization that began in 1985 and now has over 700 members in Iowa and neighboring states. Our mission is to research, develop and promote profitable, ecologically sound and community-enhancing approaches to agriculture. We carry out diverse programs to assist farmers with both production and marketing needs, to raise public awareness of where food comes from and how it is grown, and to educate youth about agriculture and the environment.
PROTEUS
Provides farmworkers, immigrants and others with a variety
of services that improve their health, education and economic opportunities.
Provides employment, training, and educational activities and services
to migrant and seasonal farmworkers in Iowa.
