Educational Components of the Certified Safe Farm Program

Education is an important component of the program which takes place in both group and integrated personal education during both the occupational health screening and on-farm safety review.

Personalized Education
Examples of personalized education during the occupational health screening include:

  • Discuss exposures and their possible effects on health
  • Review the screening results in context of the farmer’s operation
  • General wellness resources and activities
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and where to purchase it
    • Motherbox Concept The Motherbox is a centrally located supply of PPE on the farm capable of holding a four month supply of PPE required for the farm operation.

Group Education
