Goals

Goal I:   Strengthen and expand the organizational structure of the Upper Midwest Public Health
Training Center (UMPHTC), including academic and practice partnerships.

Goal II:  Continue to assess the status of public health workforce development in collaboration
with academic and practice partners.

Goal III:  Plan, develop and deliver competency-based education and training programs .

Goal IV:  Develop & implement strategies to recruit and retain a diverse public health workforce.

Goal V:   Contribute to the National PHTC Network and incorporate national expertise and strategies into UMPHTC’s public health workforce training and development initiatives.

Goal VI:  Evaluate the impact of UMPHTC on the public health workforce.
