As a volunteer member of your county’s Board of Health, you will be devoting your efforts to prevent, promote, and protect the health of your friends and neighbors.  You will be introduced to the functions of your Board by the public health director in your county or community. The Public Health Director in your county or community will provide you with a list of your fellow members of the Board of Health.  Every Board of Health has 5 members that are appointed by the County Board of Supervisors.
