Application Procedure (MS/Ph.D.)
- The application deadline for fall semester enrollment is January 15th. Applications are not accepted for spring semester, and applications for summer are not encouraged.
- Complete the online Graduate College application.
- Send the following
materials to the University Office of Admissions:

- Find the University of Iowa College of Public Health Department of Community and Behavioral Health application on SOPHAS: http://www.sophas.org/
- There you will need to submit:
- A complete SOPHAS application.
- Official transcripts showing all previous undergraduate and graduate work, with grades and degrees
- Official GRE/GMAT scores (Official MCAT and LSAT scores are accepted in place of GRE or GMAT scores). Scores must be less than 5 years old)
- International applicants: TOEFL or IELTS score (no more than two years old)
- Three letters of recommendation
- Statement of purpose
- Résumé describing educational and employment history
- Master's thesis (For Ph.D. applicants only. Applicants who did not complete a thesis should submit a sample of scholarly writing)
