The Iowa CERT has one overarching goal that pertains to all research conducted: to improve
safety and effectiveness of medication use among older adults. To help achieve this goal,
the Iowa CERT has multiple objectives. Those objectives are:

1. Conduct research to help inform medication use and mechanisms for promoting
   optimal use
2. Expand partnerships with public and private stakeholders to aid in the process
   of improving medication use
3. Disseminate information and clinical tools to patients and providers to improve
   medication use
