The Iowa CERT has one overarching goal that pertains to all research conducted: to improve
safety and effectiveness of medication use among older adults. To help achieve this goal,
the Iowa CERT has multiple objectives. Those objectives are:
- Conduct research to help inform medication use and mechanisms for promoting
optimal use - Expand partnerships with public and private stakeholders to aid in the process
of improving medication use - Disseminate information and clinical tools to patients and providers to improve
medication use
