Curriculum vitae


Edrisa Sanyang is from the University of The Gambia where he is both a graduate assistant and lecturer. His former positions include being the District Public Health Officer for the Serrekunda and Chamen Health Centres, and as a Project Manager for the EC-ChildFund Water and Sanitation Project. His primary interest is in community health, specifically the connection between water, sanitation and community health in the rural and marginalized settings. His goal at the end of fall semester at the University of Iowa is to prepare for a possible MPH degree, research and finish a manuscript on the determinants of household water contamination in rural Gambia, and prepare reference material for community, and environmental health concerning water supply and sanitation for the University of The Gambia. His faculty mentors are Professors Thomas Cook and Lars Fuortes.
