International Internship Program

Students who are interested in obtaining professional, international experience related to public health, environmental and occupational health have an opportunity to become involved in CIREH’s International Internship Program. This summer internship program is designed to provide students who are mid-way in a graduate degree program with international experience related to public health, environmental and occupational health issues in Central and Eastern Europe and Finland. Limited funding is available. UI Students may also seek funding for other international internship experiences -- subject to approval by CIREH.

International Research Fellowship Program

CIREH fosters reseach into the causes, consequences and prevention of communicable, chronic, environmental and occupational diseases in all regions of the globe. Between two and five awards will be made to graduate and professional college students. Funding amounts will depend on project and need and will not exceed $4000 per award.  Funding preference is for experiences in middle and lower income countries as categorized by The World Bank (http://www.worldbank.org/data/countryclass/classgroups.htm#Lower_middle_income)
