International Summer Institute
The International Summer Institute is held at Trnava University in Trnava, Slovak Republic during the month of June.The purpose of the institute is to provide basic and advanced training in occupational and environmental health with an emphasis on rural settings and populations. The target audience is professionals in public and environmental health in Central and Eastern European countries. The program helps to refresh participants’ knowledge and expose them to new information and ideas. It also provides an opportunity to establish a new network of potential collaborators and friends. The relaxed atmosphere of the sessions enables an open sharing of information and experiences among professionals representing a wide number of countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Participants may attend the entire 2-week session or one or more units of the Summer Institute. Scholarships are available as needed for those who apply early. The Summer Institute is organized and supported by the International Institute for Rural and Environmental Health, Bratislava, Slovak Republic; the Faculty of Health Care and Social Work of Trnava University, Trnava, Slovak Republic and the Center for International Rural and Environmental Health (CIREH) of the University of Iowa, Iowa City, USA. |
