Margaret L. Chorazy , Ph.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Chorazy completed her doctoral training in epidemiology with an emphasis in infectious disease research at the University of Iowa’s Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases under the mentorship of Dr. Greg Gray. Her doctoral thesis investigated the epidemiology of polymicrobial acute respiratory tract infections in pediatric patients receiving care at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. She received her MPH from Yale University’s School of Public Health with an emphasis in the epidemiology of microbial diseases.
Her current research interests include the epidemiology of acute respiratory infections, polymicrobial (mixed pathogen) infections, and emerging viral pathogens. In addition to her appointment in Epidemiology, Dr. Chorazy is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Lakshmi Durairaj in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Occupational Medicine in the Carver College of Medicine Department of Internal Medicine.
