2008—2009 ESA Executive Council

Adaugo Ndubuisi, President

I am currently a Master’s student in Epidemiology. I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology in 2005 and I plan to be a public health researcher and educator after I complete my PhD.

I was born and raised in Nigeria and have recently spent two months there in preparation for a Zoonotic Influenza study.

I hope to tackle epidemiological challenges in both infectious and chronic diseases and strengthen preventive medicine measures especially in developing nations.

My career goal is to work in a local health department.

Nansi Boghossian, Secretary

I grew up in Beirut, Lebanon.  I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in laboratory sciences from Haigazian University followed by my MPH from the American University of Beirut (AUB).  After graduating, I worked for a while at the National Collaborative Perinatal Neonatal Network at the AUB Medical Center and this developed my research interests in pregnancy outcomes, in particular, birth defects. I had a great opportunity  to continue working in this domain as a GRA for Dr. Romitti at the Center for Congenital and Inherited Disorders.
