Rebalancing Health Care in the Heartland Forum 3

Purpose

The Rebalancing Health Care in the Heartland Forum 3 is part of a series that facilitates a public discussion about health care in Iowa.  Forum 3 will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to receive updates and provide critically needed input as the state of Iowa moves forward with one of the most comprehensive reform efforts undertaken anywhere in the nation (HF2539).

Forum Objectives:

  • Receive updates from select HF2539 councils.
  • Provide policy makers with input to help shape subsequent Iowa health care reform legislation.
  • Define key challenges in providing high quality health care across Iowa.
  • Assess the potential impact of contemporary economic, demographic, and political realities.
  • Debate strategies and identify viable solutions for consideration by Iowa’s policymakers.
  • Anticipate new and emerging trends that may impact the provision of high quality health care to the people of Iowa.
  • Provide an opportunity for stakeholders to receive updates and provide critically needed input as the state moves forward with comprehensive health care reform efforts.
