What interested you in health care?
My interest in health care initiated while growing up in Rochester, Minnesota, where the impact healthcare has on the community is astronomical. As a pre-med major at the University of Denver, I quickly realized that I could have a broader impact on the healthcare industry, not as a provider, but as an administrator and leader.
Why did you choose Iowa?
I grew up surrounded by alumni of the Iowa MHA program, and realized that these individuals are intelligent, successful, and were able to locate themselves in a variety of geographical locations. As well as the alumni network, the overall educational and professional experience that can be gained through University of Iowa’s MHA program are better align with my overall career goals.
Favorite Grad School Moment
The ability to spend time with great friends in places such as Omaha and Chicago, along with participate in events such as Ronald McDonald House, CPHSA kickball tournament, and GSSA whiffle ball tournament have been great experiences.
Hobbies
Golfing, Snowboarding, Road biking, Traveling to new places, and Spending time with my friends and family.
