What interested you in health care?
I became interested in health services research because of the inequalities that exist in accessing affordable and quality healthcare for much of the population. As a health services researcher I hope to contribute to an improvement in access to healthcare for those who need it most.
Why did you choose Iowa?
I chose Iowa because it is a good program with strong faculty who provide you with the skills needed to become a successful health services researcher.
Favorite Grad School Moment
My favorite moment will be receiving my degree and knowing that after 23+ years of education I am finally done with school...at least in some sense.
Hobbies
Spending time with my husband and two dogs, enjoying the outdoors, remodeling our new home.
