“The M.H.A and M.P.H (subtrack in Policy & Administration) combined degree program at the University of Iowa offers a unique perspective by focusing on both healthcare management skills and public health competencies. The program prepares healthcare executives to balance the classic conflict between financial margins and organizational mission. The problems facing today’s healthcare system demand that healthcare organizations take a more pronounced role in improving community health. With these degrees, I will be able to effectively make decisions that extend beyond the walls of institutions and positively influence the health of communities.”
