MPH Policy
Scholarships
The Department of Health Management and Policy has created scholarship and award opportunities for students in the Master of Public Health in Policy. These scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants and students with the potential to become public health leaders of the future.
These scholarships and awards are given annually to full-time MPH Policy students. Both U.S. and international students are eligible. These include:
- A merit-based scholarship of $1,000 is awarded to an incoming MPH Policy student who demonstrates academic excellence and professional promise. Students are automatically eligible for this scholarship when accepted into the full-time MPH Policy program. Students are encouraged to expand their statement of goals and experience to highlight academic achievement and demonstrate prior public health work experience, community advocacy experience, their commitment to improving the public’s health and leadership ability.
- A merit-based scholarship of $2,000 is awarded to a current student with the potential to have a significant impact in public health. The application process for this scholarship includes submitting a brief (no more than two pages) personal statement describing the student’s aspirations and plans to improve the public’s health.
- A merit-based award of $1,000 is given to a graduating student who has demonstrated a commitment to understanding and improving the public’s health. Preference is given to students demonstrating a commitment to underserved populations. The award committee reviews all graduating students; no additional forms need to be submitted in order to be considered.
