Using Health Counseling to Integrate the Delivery of Health Protection and Health Promotion Services - April 21, 2010

Dr. Linda Snetselaar, Healthier Workforce Center for Excellence

Dr. Snetselaar discussed the research project that she is the principal investigator for.  This project is moving from the traditional brown bag lunch informational sessions to an emphasis on communication to elicit behavior change.  The divergence from mere information giving to behavior change strategies was discussed.

Real Iowans Research Initiative - March 24, 2010

Dr. Merchant gave an overview of the Real Iowans Research Initiative.  Collaborators from the State Public Policy Group and David P. Lind & Associates presented preliminary findings from the statewide focus groups and stakeholder interviews that have already taken place.
