How do we help assure that research becomes translated to controls and interventions that improve the health and safety of our farm population? Advancing Research to Practice through Community Partnerships (r2p) of the Great Plains Center for Agricultural Health (GPCAH) at The University of Iowa aims to do just that.
A feature of the GPCAH r2p program is to conduct bi-annual webinars to facilitate the process of r2p. The keynote webinar leading off this series will occur Wednesday, June 6 at 12:00pm (CST). The webinar will feature a description of the NIOSH r2p program and how this program can assist our agricultural communities. Partnering with NIOSH, the GPCAH will host a lead-off presentation by Dr. Max Lum, Director of the NIOSH Office Health Communications. He will provide an overview of the NIOSH r2p program (including 2-3 general success stories). Additionally, there will be a presentation by Dr. George Conway, Director of the NIOSH Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishing Program.
