
Education is an important component of the program which takes place in both group and integrated personal education during both the occupational health screening and on-farm safety review.

Group Education
Newsletters
Farmers receive the quarterly "Alive & Well" newsletter published by Iowa's Center for Agricultural Safety and Health (I-CASH) and the Great Plains Center for Agricultural Health.
- The newsletter includes information on current agricultural health and safety news around and Iowa and the Midwest.
- Also includes an additional insert with agricultural safety and health reminders and tips.
Educational Meetings
Once a year, the farmers are invited to an educational meeting conducted by University of Iowa CSF staff and safety specialists at their local AgriSafe Provider location.Topics have included:
- Respiratory health risks
- Proper PPE use
- Machinery risks
- Livestock risks
