IQH’s Comparative Occurrence Reporting Service (CORS)

CORS provides hospitals with their performance profile along with comparison data on a quarterly basis. Benchmarking data is used to reflect occurrence rates at your hospital compared to aggregate data from other participating facilities. CORS is an accepted Joint Commission performance measurement system.

CORS will assist you in your quality improvement efforts:

  • Personalized service by a clinician involved with Quality Improvement experience since 1977.
  • CORS is user friendly. The system encourages input from its users for changes and additions, and these changes happen quickly.
  • Our staff ensures statistical and methodological accuracy.
  • Validity checks are conducted to ensure database integrity.
  • Training and support is available.
  • Definitions for each indicator are provided to ensure consistent collection of data.
  • Each benchmarking report contains a graphic displaying nine full quarters of data for your facility and tables comparing your facility to your comparison group and all hospitals.
  • CORS strives to bridge the gap between data collection and real performance measurement.
  • Timelines are established for both submission of data and dissemination of reports. Reports available via secure website.
