Peer Review Service Information

IQH’s Professional/Physician Peer Review (PPRS) provides an external, unbiased and confidential review from qualified professionals in the region to verify that standards of medical care are met by your staff. Reviewers are practicing physicians from across the Nation.

IQH’s Professional/Physician Peer Review (PPRS) assists your hospitals medical staff:

• obtain a confidential and objective 2 nd opinion report when not locally feasible
• Stay current with procedure executions
• Obtain concrete and practical suggestions on care provision

How IQH facilitates the PPRS process:

• IQH provides suggestions to ensure the most appropriate professional serves as reviewer
• IQH monitors each review to make certain that the hospital’s specific questions are addressed in an appropriate and timely manner
• IQH reviews each report to ensure that practical recommendations are made to serve as action steps if modifications in practice are warranted
