Research Shows School Buses Among Safest Transportation
(Radio Iowa, 3/26/2009)
CPH research found school buses are among the safest forms of

Prevention Research Center, co-authored the report which evaluated
Iowa crash data. Previous studies have focused on high-impact

public feeling like buses may be very dangerous, because what they
hear about is those catastrophic crashes," she said.

director of the Injury Prevention Research Center, says unintentional

Research Council Meeting Features Loki Research Profiles
At the CPH Research Council Meeting on March 26, David Eichmann,
associate director for Biomedical Informatics in the UI Institute for
Clinical and Translational Science (ITCS), introduced Loki Research
Profiles. Eichmann encouraged CPH researchers to list themselves on
the research-focused social networking site, known as Loki, to
increase their opportunities for collaboration with other researchers.
Any researcher with a HawkID can create a profile. Once a profile is
created, the online system automatically generates a list of
publications through a Medline search. Eichmann is also working on
ways to generate information for profiles using existing, up-to-date
biosketches. Browse existing Loki profiles on the ICTS web site.
