Master of Public Health Subtracks
A subtrack offers students the opportunity to attain specialized
training in a major field within public health. The subtrack is
designated on the transcript to provide an additional credential.
The Biostatistics subtrack focuses on applying biostatistical
methods to the design and analysis of research investigations in
the health sciences. Students receive fundamental training in the
public health sciences, core biostatistical theory, and core biostatistical
methods.
The Community and Behavioral Health subtrack prepares students
to design, implement, and evaluate interventions that are directed
toward identified public health problems in communities.
The MPH in Epidemiology provides students with the methodological
skills to determine the occurrence of disease in communities, assess
risk factors for disease, and evaluate the effectiveness of prevention
and treatment of disease.
This interdisciplinary program provides students with a thorough
understanding of the physical environment at the workplace that
contributes to musculoskeletal injuries and illness, and knowledge
of the engineering and administrative methods of controlling these
risk factors. Funding opportunities are available for MPH Ergonomic students.
This program will provide concentrated learning opportunities in Heath Communication for students who desire an MPH degree.
This subtrack prepares students to assess risk factors in the
physical environment and their relationship to disease, particularly
the health problems of agricultural and industrial workers.
This program emphasizes advanced skills in the planning, development, and assessment of health care programs and administration.
