Admission Requirements
Applicants must have earned a Bachelor's or a professional degree.
The minimum grade-point-average requirement for admission to
the MPH program is 3.0. The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is required.
The recommended minimum score on the combined verbal and quantitative
portions is a verbal score of 480 and a quantitative score
of 570. (The following scores may
be substituted for the GRE: LSAT, VAT (or VCAT), MCAT, DAT, GMAT
or
PCAT.) TOEFL (or IELTS during the 2006-2007 year) scores are required for international students
except permanent residents or those who have earned a degree from
an
accredited institution in the US, Canada (except Quebec), Australia,
New Zealand, or the United Kingdom. The minimum recommended
score for the paper exam is 600, for the computer exam
is 250, and for the internet exam is 100. The minimum recommended IELTS score is 7.0
Admission Deadlines
A rolling deadline is used for entrance to the fall and spring
semesters. Deadlines are:
- Fall semester: May 1 for US citizens, April 1 for international
applicants
- Spring semester: November 1 for US citizens, October
1 for international applicants. Please Note: Only combined degree applications are accepted for the spring semester (DVM/MPH, JD/MPH, MD/MPH, MSN/MPH, and PharmD/MPH). All other applications must be for the summer or fall semester.
- Summer session: April 1 for US
citizens, March 15 for international applicants, March 1 for the MPH for Practicing Veterinarians.
Apply early to ensure admission decisions can be made in time.
