Students invited to Policy Night to learn about health care reform

Students are invited to “Policy Night” on Wednesday, Feb. 4, from 3-5 p.m. in Callaghan Auditorium in CPHB. Two speakers will discuss current health care reform in the U.S. (the Affordable Care Act) and the pharmacy “Provider Status” initiative and how each will affect health care and health professionals.  Their presentations will be followed by a panel-style question and answer session.

The speakers are Brian Kaskie, associate professor of health management and policy, University of Iowa College of Public Health, and Matt Osterhaus, president of the American Pharmacists Association and a practicing pharmacist in Maquoketa, Iowa.
