My primary research focus is Injury Epidemiology. My interests include injury surveillance, evaluation of prevention strategies, workplace violence, domestic violence, traffic safety, disaster response, and fire safety.

I'm the Director of two training programs. The first is an Occupational Injury Prevention Research Fellowship that sponsors doctoral studies in the area of occupational injury epidemiology. Students in our departments of Occupational and Environmental Health, Epidemiology, and Community and Behavioral Health are eligible.

The second training program is a Fogarty International Trauma Training program that collaborates with the Stampar School of Public Health in Zagreb, Croatia as well as several other Central European nations.
