Outreach & Service

Outreach & Service

The public health profession would be insufficient if important public health research, information, and policy were not eventually delivered to the community through outreach and service.

The College of Public Health seeks to strengthen the communities it serves through the development and expansion of innovative education, research, practice programs, and service projects. College faculty, staff, and students provide critical public health expertise to Iowa communities and beyond. More than 25 interdisciplinary centers based in the College of Public Health focus research efforts on critical public health topics and develop the outreach, service, and policy activities for which the college is widely known. Consistent with the principles of public health, the college is committed to collaboration and actively seeks to engage partners beyond our campus.
