The subtance Abuse Treatment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender People: A correspondence course is a course written by MJ Eliason in University of Iowa, and her assistant Aaron Silander. It is 15 hours of continuing education credit.

Goal:
This course provides information for substance abuse counselors and other professionals who might work primarily with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people or who work primarily with substance abusers. It draws heavily from the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment’s document entitled, “A providers introduction to substance abuse treatment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals.”
