Details
Be Hipp is a randomized, controlled study designed to explore new approaches to worksite wellness. Half of the participants will attend monthly group sessions with lunch provided and the other half will receive quarterly newsletters.
You can Be Hipp if:
- You are classified as a non-exempt ACT employee
- Your job involves primarily office work
- Your work schedule allows you to attend a monthly luncheon session
- You plan to continue to work at ACT
- You are not currently working with a Health Coach or regularly participating in an organized health program such as Weight Watchers
- You are not in a research study that involves a lifestyle change
All participants who agree to join the study will have height and weight measures done and complete a questionnaire at the beginning of the study and annually. Compensation provided for these visits.
Be Hipp Study Enrollment Sessions at ACT
The study team will be on the ACT campus on the following days to enroll interested participants. They would be happy to answer any questions at this time as well.
Available meeting times include 10:30, 12:00, or 1:30 p.m on the following dates:
- Monday October 27 (Tyler Room)
- Friday October 31 (ACT Conference Center)
- Monday November 3 (ACT Conference Center)
- Friday November 7 (Tyler Room)
- Monday November 10 (ACT Conference Center)
- Friday November 14 (Tyler Room)
- Wednesday November 19 (McCarrel Bldg.)
- Thursday November 20 (McCarrel Bldg.)
