The Iowa City community and The University of Iowa campus offer a variety of housing options, from apartment buildings and rooming houses to University-owned rental units. While residence halls are primarily occupied by undergraduate students, they are available to graduate and professional students. Off-campus housing searches or international housing resources may also be helpful.
Family Services
The Iowa City/Coralville area is a great place to raise a family, with great schools, well-equipped public parks and libraries, and safe neighborhoods. The University of Iowa offers a number of family-service options to suit differing lifestyles and family goals from student parent information to University housing that caters to students with families. Also, the Family Issues Charter Committee reviews the development and implementation of programs, plans, and policies that promote a positive climate for families of faculty, students, and staff.
