How to Apply
Welcome! We're pleased that you're considering the University of Iowa College of Public Health for your studies. The first step in the application process is to choose the degree program you want to apply to. In most cases you'll also need to choose a sub area. You may apply to only one program at a time.
Each department or degree program may set different deadlines, require specific application materials, and establish unique entrance requirements. Visit each department or program website for specific information.

Please note, all of our programs admit students to start in the fall semester each year. Some programs also allow students to start in the spring or summer, if their curriculum is flexible.
Please read the application forms closely and work with the appropriate graduate program coordinator for your desired department or program.
Applications to the University of Iowa College of Public Health can be completed online or submitted as a paper form. To obtain application forms, access the online applications, or learn more about admissions requirements, visit the University of Iowa Office of Admissions or the department or program to which you are applying.
The UI Office of Admissions administers the application process for all departments and programs that offer graduate and combined graduate and professional degrees at the University. When the Office of Admissions receives your application and processing fee, you will be sent an acknowledgment that these items have been received.
Some academic programs review applications as they arrive; others have scheduled review dates and evaluate applications only at that time. Once your department or program makes a recommendation for your admission, you will receive an official letter of admission (or a request for additional information) from the Office of Admissions.
