The College of Public Health works in partnership with colleagues across many disciplines to promote the health of communities and populations.

The college's highly productive slate of research activities provides evidence and data to help shape policy, guide treatments, and address pressing health concerns. College of Public Health faculty, staff, and students consistently generate an impressive stream of grant funding. In 2008-2009, the College garnered $47.4 million in external funding – the second highest contribution to the University of Iowa’s total external funding of the UI’s eleven colleges. Faculty proudly publish results in peer-reviewed publications, guide the college's many interdisciplinary centers and institutes, and mentor students in their research careers.
