As you start the application process, please be aware that each department or degree program may set different deadlines, require specific application materials, and establish unique entrance requirements. Please read the application forms closely and work with the appropriate graduate student coordinator for your department or program.
Application Information

Applications to the University of Iowa College of Public Health can be completed online or submitted as a paper form. To obtain forms or learn more about admissions requirements, visit the Office of Admissions or the department or program to which you are applying:

Doctor of Philosophy
Certificates
Occupational Medicine Residency
Please note that application materials for degree programs are sent to two different offices: the University of Iowa Office of Admissions and your academic department or program. The Office of Admissions administers the application process for all departments and programs that offer graduate and combined graduate and professional degrees at the University. When the Office of Admissions receives your application and processing fee, you will be sent an acknowledgment that these items have been received.
Some academic programs review applications as they arrive; others have scheduled review dates and evaluate applications only at that time. Once your department or program makes a recommendation for your admission, you will receive an official letter of admission (or a request for additional information) from the Office of Admissions.
Applications materials for the Certificate in Public Health are sent to the College of Public Health only.
Residency
An individual enrolling at The University of Iowa is classified as a resident or nonresident for admission and tuition purposes. Additional information about this classification is available at the Office of the Registrar.
