Dr. Donham is Director of Iowa's Center for Agricultural Safety and Health (I-CASH). Kelley was born and raised on a swine and cow/calf farm in Johnson County, where he was actively involved in the farm operation for many years. Kelley obtained a B.S. in Premedical Sciences, and an M.S. in Preventive Medicine and Environmental Health from The University of Iowa, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University. He has been on the faculty of The University of Iowa in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Environmental Health (now the College of Public Health, Department of Occupational and Environmental Health) since 1973, achieving the rank of Professor in 1984. Dr. Donham's research has focused on diseases of agricultural workers, zoonotic infectious diseases, and intervention methods of prevention. He has published over 100 articles, books or chapters in these areas, and teaches agricultural medicine to a wide variety of students. |
