Iowa Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee will review the state's strategic plan for the public health workforce. A copy of the plan is available at the following link: Iowa Strategic Plan

The Iowa Counties Public Health Association and the University of Iowa College of Public Health Institute for Public Health Practice collaborated on a project to enumerate the public health workforce in Iowa. A survey sent to 101 public health agencies received a 100 percent return rate. The enumeration, completed in April 2005, promoted a better understanding of the composition of the public health workforce in Iowa, specifically those employed by local public health agencies: Enumeration Survey
