Alumni invited for career events with current students

Published on February 1, 2022

The College of Public Health is requesting help from CPH alumni in preparing current students for their future as leaders in the field of public health.

The College of Public Health Career Services Office recognizes the vital role that alumni play in our ongoing professional development efforts. So, we are extending this invitation to all College of Public Health alumni to opt-in to participate in future career services events and professional development opportunities working with current public health students.

Participation will be optional and based on your individual interests and availability. Opportunities for alumni to be involved might include panel discussions, networking events, mock interviews, practicum supervisors, and other events as they come up. Individuals who opt-in can expect to receive regular emails once or twice per semester requesting participation in specific events and career development topics.

The Public Health Career Services Office was established in our college in January 2021 and has experienced increasing success in preparing graduate and undergraduate students to enter the workforce. We currently offer assistance in a number of different capacities, including 1-on-1 advising appointments, resume and CV review, networking events, and professional development workshops, among other opportunities. The office is led by Jeanie Kimbel and Sophie Switzer.
