The University of Iowa College of Public Health is pleased to announce that enrollment is now open for the new Graduate Certificate in Maternal and Child Health (MCH), launching this fall! As the first graduate certificate of its kind in Iowa, the program is designed to strengthen the state’s MCH workforce and prepare leaders to address critical MCH challenges, particularly in rural communities.

The 15-credit certificate is open to graduate students from a variety of disciplines and includes core coursework in MCH (e.g., the 1 s.h. MCH Seminar and the 3 s.h. Foundations of MCH class), elective method and content courses, and an integrated learning experience that provides hands-on training in MCH practice or research.
