Injury and Violence Prevention Research Accelerator Program (RAP) – Apply by Oct. 12
Published on September 15, 2026
The University of Iowa Injury Prevention Research Center announces a new partnership with the UI Center for Social Science Innovation (CSSI): the Injury and Violence Prevention Research Accelerator Program (RAP). This new program is designed to support early-career researchers in developing competitive injury and violence prevention research proposals. By strengthening research skills, expanding collaborative networks, and enhancing grant-writing capacity, the program aims to accelerate scholars’ academic and professional growth.
A key objective is for each scholar to fully develop a pilot grant or larger-scale grant proposal that is well-positioned for submission and future funding success. The centers are seeking applications from promising early-career investigators across disciplines who are interested in advancing research that addresses injury and violence prevention priorities.
Applications are due October 12, 2026. Additional program details, eligibility requirements, and application materials are available here: Learn More About the RAP Program
