Health in All -- IC

All College of Public Health faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend a PechaKucha event engaging the Iowa City community in a conversation about health on Thursday, Feb. 27.

The event, called “Health in All – IC,” will be moderated by Iowa Public Radio host Ben Kieffer. It will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at MERGE, 136 S. Dubuque Street, adjacent to the Iowa City Public Library in downtown Iowa City. Light refreshments will be provided.

View the event on Facebook.

CPH presenters will highlight a variety of public health issues at the intersection of health and current events. Presenters and topics include:

  • Hailey Boudreau: talking (and listening) to your community
  • Brandi Janssen: sustainability and agriculture
  • Kurayi Mahachi: ticks and disease transmission
  • Matt Nonnenmann: virus transmission
  • Shannon Watkins: e-cigarettes and other tobacco products

PechaKucha (Japanese for “chit chat”) is a visual storytelling platform used by millions around the globe. Here’s how it works: 20 slides, 20 seconds of commentary per slide. That’s it. Simple. Engaging. Spurring authentic connections.
