The Prevention Research Centers (PRCs) Program is celebrating its 30th anniversary. This network of 26 academic center:
- Became a reality in 1986 after Congress authorized funding for academic health centers to conduct community-based public health research.
- Conducts research in communities with health disparities and translates results into policy and public health practice.
