This 1-hour workshop will focus effective health communication strategies in the age of digital media. Learn more about message delivery and encouraging engagement in health initiatives throughout the community.

Open to all University of Iowa students. Faculty and staff welcome.

PRESENTERS:

Dr. Marius Ungureanu is a medical doctor with extensive training in healthcare management and policy, and a background in health workforce, health systems & public health research. He is currently serving as Chair of the Department of Public Health, and Director of the Center for Health Workforce Research and Policy, both within the School of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences at Babeș-Bolyai University (BBU) in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Dr. Radu Meza is an associate professor of Journalism in the College of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences at Babes-Bolyai University. He holds a Bachelors in Computer Science and Journalism, as well as a PhD in Sociology. Research interests include popular online media, social network analysis, formal concept analysis, automated data collection, analysis and visualization and computational journalism. In 2016 he became the coordinator of the first Digital Media Bachelors program in Romania.
