Find the College of Public Health

The College of Public Health has facilities at several different University of Iowa buildings in Iowa City and Coralville. Most events welcoming visitors are held at the College of Public Health Building on the University of Iowa’s main campus. Here is the campus map. Our building, abbreviated CPHB, is on the west/left side of the river.

The College of Public Health Building

Walking

The is situated on a hill overlooking Highway 6 and Riverside Drive, next to the University of Iowa Arts Campus. A pedestrian bridge connects the building with the College of Medicine campus over Highway 6, and the pedestrian bridge over the Iowa River at the Iowa Memorial Union connects the building to the east side of campus.

Arriving by car

Those arriving by car can get to the College of Public Health Building (CPHB) most easily from Interstate 80, exit 244. Visitor parking at the College of Public Health Building is extremely limited, so we ask visitors to park at the Newton Road Parking Ramp, which is a five-minute walk from CPHB. Arriving by air

Those flying in for the conference can arrive at the Eastern Iowa Airport, which is a 25-minute drive from Iowa City.

Parking

A limited number of short-term, metered visitor spaces are available at the College of Public Health Building. We recommend parking in the Newton Road Parking Ramp and taking the pedestrian bridge over Highway 6 to the College of Public Health Building. The pedestrian bridge is handicap accessible.

The General Hospital building is part of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. We recommend parking at the Newton Road Parking Ramp.
