Welcome to the University of Iowa College of Public Health! The college is widely known for its dedication to academics, research, community service, and policy activities.
Through these commitments, the College of Public Health helps students and society respond to new and emerging public health threats, as well as longstanding concerns, such as air and water quality, aging, health care quality and services, tobacco dependence, and substance abuse.
This is a time of dramatic growth and development for the field of public health and the College of Public Health. The college was established in 1999, making it the newest college at The University of Iowa. Since its formation, the college has achieved remarkable progress. Enrollment, research funding, and primary faculty continue to grow, and in January 2012 the College of Public Health Building opened, providing an extraordinary new academic home for the college.
