Pendergast honored at open house marking her retirement

The Department of Biostatistics held an open house Oct. 14 in honor of Professor Jane Pendergast, who retired from the College of Public Health on Oct. 15. Pendergast joined the College of Public Health biostatistics faculty in 1999, the same year she was appointed director of the Center for Public Health Statistics.

Pendergast, now professor emeritus, has an outstanding record as a researcher and teacher, and has been active in numerous service activities. She is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and recipient of the UI College of Public Health Faculty Teaching Award and Faculty Service Award. Thank you, Jane, for your leadership and many contributions to the college and University of Iowa!
